Want to Jump-Start Your Management Career? Try This

Imagine you’re talking with a colleague and they just keep  looking at their computer screen.

Or you go to an event and  start talking to someone  who doesn’t look at your face and instead is looking around to find someone who might have better business potential?

If you are like me, you feel lousy in these situations. I hate it.

That’s why I don’t do these things.  When I am with someone, I am with them.  If I don’t want to be with them, I leave. Maybe not right away, but eventually I excuse myself.

images-3If you want to vault your career to a much higher level, be the person who is focused 100% on the situation or people right there in front of you. It really is that simple  That’s what the most successful clients I’ve worked with have done.

Give 100% of your attention to the  people that are right there in front of you. Do not let yourself be distracted. Not by phones, food, alcohol, lack of sleep or other people.  Focus.

I like it when people show up in my life and they are with me 100%.  They focus on what we are talking about.

Want to move up? Or be better at the work you do? You don’t need an MBA or a management training course to jump start your career. You just need to focus 100% and really be there.

It’s a career changer that everyone can use, but few people do it.  I’m not sure why not.

How about you? Start focusing 100%.  And let me know how it works for you. Let me know how it feels to you. Let me know what it does for your career.  I want to know.
